I am only 19 and have no exprience in Firefighting but
have read numerous books. I have one thought if you were
the arriving company, wouldn't you confer with your Capt.
or officer then The officer would report to the IC and
take note of where apparatus placement is needed. Also if
you were the first on fireground, Life safety first and
then looking for further exposures would be next. Evaluating
as you go, making sure if an interior attack was needed that
you were not sending your crew into a dangerous sitsuation.
Only as a novice looks at the picture this is how I precive
the ideas I have put forth, so if they are totally wrong
please understand that I come only from knowledge that I have
in my head and no exprience..thanks
